Interesting you had it on the US server as well. It's scary to know this can happen during market hours. 1.5 hours is not short, it lasted here around an hour possibly 1.5 hours. Luckily markets were calm. On the other hand I honestly don't remember when IB had such long outage. It must have been years ago and I run tws and gateways every single day. Today was different from the daily resets.
We had the same issues. This is bad, really bad. I am in New York. I spotted it first around 2:26am, my monitoring tool alerted me of the issue. It took IB 1.5 hours to fix it. Had exposed position, since stop loss could not be submitted. Markets were quite, so I just waited for resolution, rather than calling trading desk. Support told me the same, their IT is working on resolution.
Once IB fixed issue, all my previously submitted limits and stops, that were stuck in "Submitted" state got cancelled, messing up my book.
IB constantly having short outages shortly after midnight US time, it is mind boggling, that in 2019, the system need some kind of reset every 24 hours. However, the typical outage, lasts few min, and when system comes back online, even orders stuck in Submitted status, properly get submitted.
I like IB, but if they have few more of these, I will close the account (granted I am a small fish, so they would not really care).
