This isn't some video compilation of extreme islamofascist views. It is all straight out of the Koran and completely normal behavior as viewed either historically or contemporaneously. It is classical Islam and it is not going to stop.
You cannot reason with them. Could you be reasoned with to give up your faith?
You cannot negotiate coexistence with them. Their very core beliefs obligate them to subdue non-muslims and subjugate them.
They view the conflict existentially. We had better start thinking along those lines as well.
I think this is pretty accurate. While only a small percentage commit actual acts of terrorism, there can be little doubt that a substantial proportion, probably a majority, approve of those acts and facilitate them in ways large and small. Some do it for religious grounds, others because they can't get past the Israel issue. Whatever.
The problem on the world stage is large. In France it is daunting because of the sheer numbers and the kid gloves policy the french government has adopted, ie somewhat similar to our policy toward hispanic illegals. We face a more manageable situation, at least for now.
It seems clear that the single best way to avoid problems with muslims is to restrict the number who are allowed to move into your country. A good number would be zero. Some are fine people who have suffered hardship. I personally know some and I would trust them with my life. However, policy cannot be made on the basis of personal anecdotes. We know two things. One, as the percentage of muslims rises, problems increase exponentially because of their desire to create a separate governing structure. Two, some percentage of muslims will become violent terrorists. The more muslims, the more terrorists.
So a wise policy designed to protect our country would severely limit muslim immigration. Refugee resettlements, eg from places like syria, pose the biggest problem because a lot of the refugees bring grudges with them and are easily radicalized. They are a lot more likely to pose problems than a jordanian physician.
The civil liberties crowd will object and say this is religious discrimination. They have a point, although islam is more a system of government with religious overtones than a traditional religion. Accordingly, special treatement is not inappropriate. More fundamentally, foreigners looking to move here have no Constitutional claim for equal rights, etc. In short, if we wish to bar them on religious grounds, we can do so.
