Not 97% but .3% of Climatologists agree.

Quote from jem:

you are such a ignorant childish troll.
you could have tried answering the question truthfully.
you are not even aware that as oceans warm they release co2?
are you that stupid?

1. http://www.newscientist.com/article...ase-co2-faster-than-thought.html#.UnUoYlCAd8E

Rising temperatures make carbon dioxide leak from the oceans for two main reasons. First, melting sea ice increases the rate that the ocean mixes, which dredges up CO2-rich deep ocean waters. Second, "when you warm the ocean up, just like warming up a Coke bottle, it drives the gas out," says van Ommen.

2. science is not sure what it causing the oceans to warm.
if it were co2 they would most likely be warming uniformly.
they are not warming uniformly. much of the warming is in the indian oceans.

some are speculating its the underwater volcanoes.

Wow.

Just wow.

Quote from stoic:

It's been said..."When in a debate with a liberal, when they start calling you names....you've won. It can also be said that the name calling confirms the weakness of their position.

All these quotes are from just Jan. this year in sequential order. Now just in this thread:

I left out the ones where FC truly started foaming at the mouth and used a profusion of expletives or made statements about someone's mother. Has FC ever added any value to this site? We all see the same old charts, posts with the same GW links, a plethora of the same old GW rants. And FC calls us "fanatics". As the New Year approaches I can only hope that the ET moderators send him on his way. If they do not, I propose we ALL put him on ignore.

As for you futurecurrents, I must come to the conclusion that you REALLY do suffer from Chicken Little Syndrome. Incapable of independent thought. Totally unable to review or even acknowledge any deviation to your world view. And you say we're myopic. Anytime anyone provides an alternative that maybe, ....just maybe it was an acorn that fell on your head and not the sky, you refuse to even look......accuse it as delusional, or label it as right-wing FF propaganda. Everything stated by the left is as true as the sky is blue. Everything on the right is misinformation and half truths at best. Both sides have their agenda, and both sides spew out propaganda to further that agenda. It matters not what side your on, what matters is, are you able to see propaganda for what it is. Clearly you can not. I truly pity you for that.

Yeah, what ever. I guess you didn't notice that jem starts every post to me with word and troll and some other insult. Or that comments about someone's mother only followed posts saying me and my brother have gay sex. I guess your equal mindedness is not really equal is it?

If you choose to ignore all the solid authoritative science, rational analysis and explanations I have posted but instead highlight my deserved condemnation of the stupidity, intellectual dishonesty and just plain lying of jem and gwb and a few others then......you're just another ignorant - and I assume right-wing - asshole.

Maybe you need to carefully read stoic's complete collection of rude names that you have been calling others and reflect on your online behavior. Would you talk to people face-to-face like this?

You have not been posting "solid authoritative science, rational analysis and explanations" - you have been merely insulting everyone who has a different opinion than you.

I am merely returning that which thrown at me. In addition, when someone like jem, who is smart enough to know the truth, but instead knowingly peddles in lies and disinformation, I'm going to call a spade a spade. Tough shit. Reasoning and facts don't work, so what the hell. The same for you. I have suspicions you both are the same person. You are both essentially liars and you suck because of that. This is not a game. It has to do with nothing less than the survivability of the planet for future generations and the planet's ecosystems. Excuse me if that gets my attention and passion. It should you also.

And I certainly HAVE been posting solid and authoritative science and rational analysis. The fact that you don't see it, understand it, or believe it, is further proof of just how fucking dumb, deluded and blind you are.

Man made global warming is a fact and is responsible for most if all of the warming over the last fifty years. The science is both common sense and overwhelming in both scope and consensus.

Man made global warming is a fact and is responsible for most if not all of the warming over the last fifty years. The science is both common sense and overwhelming in both scope and consensus.

This is what the American Physical Society says about it...

"The evidence is incontrovertible: Global warming is occurring. If no mitigating actions are taken, significant disruptions in the Earth’s physical and ecological systems, social systems, security and human health are likely to occur. We must reduce emissions of greenhouse gases beginning now."

I was surprised to see this on BP's website...

"Our view is that putting a price on carbon – one that applies economy-wide and treats all carbon equally, whether it comes out of an industrial smokestack or a car exhaust – will make energy efficiency and conservation more attractive to businesses and individuals, and help lower-carbon energy sources become more cost competitive within the energy mix. While a global price would be most economically efficient, regional and national approaches are a necessary first step, provided temporary financial relief is given to domestic industrial sectors that are trade exposed."
