I stated the warming was insignificant and any warming is due to nature. The ocean warming is much less than the 'climate change models' have proposed. As noted by ARGO, the measured ocean warming is less than the instrument error. Effectively this means there is no meaningful warming from 1960 to 2012.

There is no reason to be alarmed by the current ocean 'warming'.

BTW - in the period of 950AD to 1000AD the oceans were warmer than they are today by 0.5 to 0.8 degrees C according to the results of multiple scientific investigations.

Yes there has been according to most scientific readings. From 1950 to 2009, measurements show an average annual rise in sea level of 1.7 ± 0.3 mm per year. Reference

You are aware that in 500AD most of the coastal regions of France were flooded due to a sea level height that is much greater than current sea levels.

If you want to look at sea levels, let's evaluate them over many thousands of years to get a meaningful time frame reference.

I remember traveling to ephesus in Turkey in 1999. it was a port a few thousand years ago and now it is high and dry. The sea level must have dropped 20 feet.

I have read the same thing with port towns in england.

I have read the town of UR in iraq was once a port.

So I know at least in some places sea levels seemed to have dropped massively.

Cause... continental drift? I doubt it has an impact that quickly.
I think we need to re examine some science.

A more important question is if the very small increase in ocean height from 1960 to today is even significant in the bigger picture over 1000s of years.
