Not 97% but .3% of Climatologists agree.

Quote from gwb-trading:

I'll remember that in 2040 when everyone is alarmed about the upcoming ice age.
Perhaps that will occur, perhaps not, at this point it's just speculation. However, sea level rise is real, today, and will have to be adapted to.

So from 1960 until today, the sea level increased at most by 18cm. Back in 500AD the sea level was 100cm greater than it is today.

Humans adapted back then and they will need to adapt again now to natural cycles.

Humans will need to adapt to cycles, regardless of the cause.

So spend the $4 Billion a year in government grants on how to adapt to natural climate cycles instead on "man-made global warming" research. Understanding how to build sustainable structures, improve infrastructure, enhance materials, and other adaption research will go a long way to helping man-kind. Wasting the money on AGW research (a non-existent problem) with the solution being a 'carbon tax' and Kyoto protocols is absurd.

BINGO! We have a winner.

Quote from gwb-trading:

Reading extracts and infering a position on AGW is NOT a survey -- no matter how much you want it to be.
Ok, try it in bite sized...

  • Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America

extensive dataset of 1,372 climate researchers

    and citation data

show that (i) 97-98% of the climate researchers

    actively publishing in the field

    surveyed here

    support anthropogenic climate change

Also you seem oblivious to the fact it is NOT inferring a position on AGW.
AGW is a fact and it is a separate issue.
AGW deniers will unthinkingly lump AGW with ACC, just as you are doing.

Saying a survey is NOT a survey doesn't work -- no matter how much you want it to.

In a situation where climate change is the natural response caused by "man-made global warming", the f'kn obvious and sensible thing is to take measures to address "man-made global warming".

When you are pissing in water you have to drink, you don't adapt to the poisoning of it by wearing waterproof boots. You adapt by not pissing in it.

  • stu - I 'surveyed' 1,372 cereal boxs. After careful review of their outside print, I found that none explicitly deny AGW. This means that over 97% of cereal manfufacturers support AGW.

See - anyone can create this type of 'survey' - I don't even have to ask anyone a question. I can fudge the 'passing' criteria to arrive at any result I desire in advance.

It is amazing what Cook and his friends pass off as science these days.

There is no "man-made global warming". Spending money to solve a problem that does not exist is the definition of insanity and monetary waste.

"Global Warming" is a political issue not a scientific issue. It is only moved forward as a political agenda to force money transfers from 'rich' nations to 'poor' nations under the guise of a carbon tax. It has further served to line the pockets of a select group of profiteers like Al Gore.

Let's take a look at the Global Warming 'wager' and what this is all about.
