I read a few of the papers... the ones I read were 5 years old or more and relied on computer models.... which have now pretty much all failed.
they would say things like we use the computer to take x out of the equation and that only leaves co2.
however we have since seen that the sun and the tides have something to do with it and we are also learning there are negative feedback mechanisms like clouds and thermostats like co2 which have to be accounted for.

this is not to discount the reality of your concession... I suspect the vast majority of scientists are not sure if adding man made co2 to our environment is causing warming right now.
Frankly, the situation is dynamic and complex. The scientists are just learning about clouds right now and clouds have always modeled out poorly.
