Test shows North Korea missile could hit LA, Chicago, analyst says

(CNN) —North Korea tested an intercontinental ballistic missile Friday that appears to have the range to hit major US cities, experts say.
A combination of US, South Korean and Japanese analyses of the launch from Mupyong-ni, near North Korea's border with China, show the missile flew about 45 minutes, going 3,700 kilometers (2,300 miles) high and for a distance of 1,000 kilometers (621 miles).
If the missile were fired on a a flatter, standard trajectory, it would have major US cities like Los Angeles, Denver and Chicago well within its range, with possibly the ability to reach as far as New York City and Boston, according to David Wright, a missile expert at the Union of Concerned Scientists.
South Korea's joint chiefs of staff said they estimate that the intercontinental ballistic missile tested Friday is more advanced than one launched earlier this month based on the range it traveled. Experts had said that test showed Pyongyang had the ability to hit Alaska.

Yeah cause its clear that Obama's agenda of appeasement and apologies was so effective, Obama could have stopped Kim if he just told him to cut it out like he said to Putin.

They vigorously accelerated their nuclear program during Obama's term knowing there would be little if any opposition.
The recent increase in their technology didn't happen in the last 6 months.

Kim Jong Un taunted the US after his ICBM missile launch on Tuesday, calling it a Fourth of July gift to the “American bastards.”
“American bastards would be not very happy with this gift sent on the July 4 anniversary,” state run news agency quoted the North Korean leader gloating.
“We should send them gifts once in a while to help break their boredom,” he added.
Kim proudly praised the missile — which has the potential to deliver a nuclear warhead as far as Alaska — for being “as handsome as a good-looking boy.”
The daft despot grinned widely, waved his fist and broke into peals of laughter in video purporting to show him personally overseeing the launch of the weapon, which is designed to carry a nuclear warhead.
Thats more like what they are doing with their ICBM program under Trump.
I've known several idiots who weren't afraid to stick their fingers in light sockets and fans.
