How many wars do you think we could win at once? 2 now, you want 4? Besides I was in the army in the infantry and we had guys go a year rotation to Korea. They were right on the line. One common theme from them. No way could we stop an attack from North Korea. They have such a large military vs our presence there, we would be steamrolled. It would be amazing if anyone could retreat and make it out alive. We would have to invade after all of Korea was taken.
And what would be the point of any of it? We have leverage. The leadership knows if they start something they die. Why involve huge armies? There is no point.
Umm, yeah. In Gulf War 1, Iraq had one of the biggest armies on Earth. The Ground War lasted 3 days. It is only a problem now, since it is modern military against roadside bombs and islamists.
Think they have something to match an M1-A1 Abrams tank, cruising near 60MPH, yet still with the ability at top speed to hit its target with over 90% precision?
Remember the Iraq tanks ground forces, a smoldering mess on the road back to Iraq trying to fell Kuwait?"
It ain't SIZE, but Quality. Neither their Air Force nor ground forces would last long. Their biggest threat probably be shelling South Korean cities.
And after that, they would no longer have the military strength to impoverish their people or
Think BLITZKRIEG by the west, after North Korea first tries it.
Of course, if they go nuclear...
