The whole market sells off (Gap Down) on Nokia and Lucent?

Thats what the talking heads are saying and that is whats on all of the "News" sites...

Am I the only one who thinks that what is reported is merley the most convienent news that fits any set of circumstances...and that by and large these people don't have the foggiest idea why the market is down, up or sideways?

well they're in the business of reporting the news....they need something to talk about
I don't think they'd really be reporters if they just explained it like this:(see chart)
