Crime and Race

The issue here is crime and race... The high crime rate amongst African Americans creates tremendous difficulties for blacks in general. Most of the crime committed by black people are usually against other blacks. However, when whites are attacked in this manner hostile feelings will surface. This is true of all race related crime. Was the Wichita Massacre a hate crime? In my opinion I would say yes. The ferocity of the unprovoked attack dwarfs the previous criminal activities of the two criminals depicted in the article.
I take this as evidence of hate... I'm perfectly aware of the fact that whites commit violent hate crimes as well. I strongly condemn their actions just as I condemn the actions of these two murderers.

IQ issue...

I don't agree with IQ based on race...

Education issue...

During the 60s many African Americans struggled greatly to get an education. Now that segregation has gone education no longer seems to be such a critical issue for blacks. There seems to be very careless attitude towards studying and many take the arrogant and ignorant "What's in it for me?" attitude. However, the media points to poverty for the low achievement of black students. So... What changed? During the 60s-70s blacks were even poorer yet they managed to succeed against tremendous odds...

I don't know what race you are but it seems to me that racist and derogatory terms towards whites are incredibly popular. Again, part of the double standard of the media...

The focus of education was to "I know my rights". Forget about how to conduct oneself or act civily. The "Question Authority" mantra became "Disrespect Authority" with your new found education on rights.

Stop by a tenants right association for the poor. They'll hand you the ten commandments of your rights.There is no list that perhaps would mention the fact not to throw your garbage out the window or piss in the hall.

This goes back to the begining re "all our social policies are based on the fact that their intelligence is the same as ours -"

I think that somewhere along the way thugs hijacked American black culture....!

I know plenty of very civil black people and I honestly can't stand to see some rapper saying "I'm representing, Yo'all...!" Of course if you disagree with thuggery you are automatically labeled a racist if you are white or if you are black then you're the "puppet of the white man". Thugs tend to create resentment towards civil culture by exploiting hostile feelings brought about by racism, slavery and economic hardships.

There are plenty of white idiots who do the exact thing... I don't think that bad behavior is race related. However, the average white idiot knows that he is wrong to do so when his peers confront him and he hardly ever claims discrimination.

Good points. Though, I don't think I would call it a "hijacking." I only say that because the same terminology was used by muslims concerning radicals and Islam. Radicalism is completely supported in Islamic scripture. Likewise, thuggery is not only a part of Black culture worldwide, but is openly supported and fostered by many Blacks worldwide. It's a product of embracing victimhood. It's used to justify certain acts as a response to being victims. What's funny about it is that most Blacks of today, being the segregationists and cultural isolationists that many are, have never experienced racism personally. What's more, they never even faced repression except by someone of their own "race."

I left off the rest of your post only because to call into light the basic fact (that goes without saying) that every group has bad apples is sort of a strawman argument. Blacks tend to have a disportionate amount of "bad apples" in their bunch. The question remains why?

Such as with STD's. Why do blacks have higher incidents of STDs than any other racial group. In some cases, 20 times more. There seems to be some sort of disconnect concerning protection and awareness of it. And this is worldwide.

The list goes on. I believe nothing can be done until blacks step up themselves and take personal responsibility for themselves. I posted five things that blacks need to begin to address a few posts back.

blacks have been screwed by illegal immigration, big time. In fact, much between the lines of all those who support illegal immigration is the basicly racist belief that these are jobs that 'Americans wont do' code words for 'blacks wont work'

How else can you explain high black unemployment/welfare and a 'shortage of workers'? It screws the more honorable blacks, and excuses the lazy irresponsible ones. Yet, the black congressional caucus supports illegal aliens because 'they aint WHITE'. They care about color politics far more than stregthening the middle and working classes that must exist for the blacks to move up into. This outrages the best black leaders, like Terry Anderson. Sadly, blacks have never missed an opportunity to miss an opportunity.

The future for blacks is very bleak. This isnt 1960, where the future looks bright, and they just need to get their slice of the pie. This is the 21st century, where the requirements to stay in the middle class are continually escalating, due to globalism, immigration, and inflation. Labor is in a bear market, natural resources are in a bull. The chances that blacks will improve themselves at the rate these requirements are increasing are slim to none

Valid points. Didn't consider some of that.

However, I believe this will be a great opportunity for progressive and hard working Blacks to shine. Now more than ever the contrast between the statistical majority (read stereotypical) and statistical minority (read progressive and hard working) black will be starker. Though the progressive black will have to work a little harder to prove that they aren't like the "rest" and will have to suffer backlash racism born of the image that so called "black America" has conjured up. But the rewards will be worth the struggle and there are many looking to support them.

Everyone loves a winner and a good sucess story. And there are black success stories happening everyday. Albeit it's mostly but not always happening with what most black consider to be "the sellouts."
