CISCO and Microsoft has stopped sales and support of their products in Russia. If Russian customers do not try to bypass the checks, most Cisco routers' licenses will be suspended. If they bypass the checks, the routers will function for another 30 to 90 days, then will stop.

Yahoo Finance's David Hollerith details crypto trading platforms such as Coinbase and Binance continuing to accommodate users in Russia despite multinational companies cutting business ties with the country and how cryptocurrencies evade financial sanctions for both Russian and Ukrainian citizens.

I wonder if that's why COIN took another shit today...

It seems, what world war III has taught me, is all this shit about crypto's central theme of being de-centralized is all a load of bs. If countries can still ban it and cut off all on/off ramps (even into other countries), it kinda defeats the whole point of crypto...

I imagine Binance & Coin are on very limited time before the West closes in on them and dictates what accounts can be used (at best). Worst case scenario, is these exchanges get shut down completely.

Binance already didn't allow US users. It's no big deal if it doesn't allow Russian users now.

I feel that Russia has to be isolated from the world. At all costs. Whatever craters their economy is good. This is not politics. This is way beyond politics. Rabid dogs have to be isolated.

They have an offramp. If they topple Putin, blame it all on him, withdraw troops immediately, apologize profusely and pay reparations to Ukraine, they can be join the civilized world again.

Until then, let them stew in their own filth. Make your own routers. Good luck.

The head of Aeroflot quit his job and left Russia.

After Russia passed the law that criminalizes (15 years in prison!) independent reporting, Bloomberg is withdrawing all its journalists from the country.

Two more oligarch's yachts have been confiscated in Italy. A Duma delegate's villa in Italy has been confiscated as well. Hope they are sold and proceeds sent to Ukraine either for rebuilding or for weapons.

Bellingcat (bellingcat.com) - one of the more respected investigative journalism organizations says that

1. Ukrainian reporting about Russian losses in the war is quite believable and
2. The resources that Russia prepared for conducting the warfare in Ukraine are almost exhausted and will last until March 6th. After that they are calling it a "logistical nightmare".
