Chicago Teachers Union is praying for Lambda to be bad.

If unvaccinated you have a much greater chance of being killed by COVID than by the bull sharks at the beach.
My sense is that this will continue until there is some kind of revolt.
The problem with the schools is that they already have your money whether they teach your kids or not. Its like paying a contractor 100% up front before the work is done. People are pulling their kids out of public schools but still have to pay for them. Its a great racket.

When they pull their kids out of school they still have to pay, and obviously the schools dont have to do any work with the kids that leave. Ironically, it pisses the schoolacrats off bigtime though because they lose the state and federal subsidies that go with the cash cows, err...I mean kids. The subsidies follow the headcount.
In addition they get three quarters of the kids stereotyped as "learning disabled" which means that the costs associated with them transfers to the fed programs. We now have an entire generation of "LD" labeled kids. The whole thing is a gigantic scam.
It's a mess.

In Florida many parents are demanding vouchers to pull their kids out of public schools where DeSantis banned masks and place them in private schools which mandate masks.

I am also concerned about GWB not keeping us worried about Epsilon.
Clearly he is overworked these days and needs to start managing his workload better. I think that he lost his focus a bit watching all those female volleyball players. Trying to fix the Olympics and Covid too put quite a bit on his plate.

There are five charter/private schools around my zip. Not one mandates masks. We were considering sending my son if they were to mandate masks this year, so we went to visit all of them.
