You realize Palin was kicked out of The University of Idaho and had to go to a community college (Matanuska-Susitna College )to get her grades up to go back to the University of Idaho ?

In 2008 Palin clearly didn't have a grasp on a lot issues that she should have to be a good candidate for VP. This does not mean she is unintelligent, it only means she was un-prepared. When McCain chose her as his running mate to was a shock to most Americans because most had not heard of her. It is likely that it was quite a shock to her when the run rang it was McCain offering her the job. It is quite obvious that at that time she was not ready for primetime.
With that being said, it does not mean she cannot do her homework and get a grasp on the issues where she needs work. If she makes a run and she becomes more knowledgable about foreign policy it is likely she could have a real impact. She is charismatic and a good speaker and that goes a long way.
