My estimate is that Secretariat would run the Belmont in 2.22.0 ish simply on the track being faster today. Then, if there was a horse within 1 meter of him, he probably would have run a 2:21 ish. [Top top top horses really dislike other horses being near them.] That means he would have crushed American Pharoah.

There is no comparison between Secretariat and any other horse in history thus far. Maybe Man-O-War, but even that is unlikely. Secretariat was a freak of nature.
