That's some antiquated experience.

Wealth-Lab's Combination Strategy wizard lets one create a portfolio of multiple systems (each running in its own time frame) applied to multiple markets (portfolios) with individual position sizing for each system. All that in seconds without having to write a single line of code.

Talking about a more down-to-earth task like composing a strategy from building blocks using drag and drop, WL can go to greath lengths. Think hundreds of custom rules and indicators, external symbols, neural networks, "fuzzy logic" and so forth.

Can Wealth-Lab's strategy wizard let one have multiple time-frames in a single strategy?

Truth be told, multiple time frames do not come out of the box (although it's of course pretty easy to achieve in WealthScript i.e. C#). But the Rule Builder is extensible so I imagine that for a motivated developer it wouldn't be too hard to create custom building blocks for accessing the price and indicators on a compressed time frame, allowing to utilize them in the Wizard. But I'd agree that native support would be more convenient. -Eugene

Could you describe "fuzzy logic" as it applies to trading?

Speaking of Wealth-Lab's Rule Wizard, here I mean that it provides a way to combine multiple conditions that aren't required to occur simultaneously. You set a lookback period during which one or more conditions are required to have been true. Not all at the same bar but some.

Build an AI/ML platform that you can tell vocally what you want and it will do it for you.

Like "I want you to test all SMA 200 and SMA 50 crossovers in daily resolution for stock Apple 20 years back in time. Then you are done, e-mail me the report".

Something like that would be nice. Not today's garbage shiite where you have to write code to do very simple things. It's year 2020 for god sake.

Gawd yes! I like it, way to go!

Just a quick update on this project. I am currently using the FasterQuant Strategy Builder for my own trading and have given it to a client. While it still does not have a UI, the feature set is much more powerful than any other strategy builder I have seen with other platforms. I am likely going to partner up with another developer who has more time and convert it into a "proper" product that can be licensed as an add-on to AlgoTerminal.
