If North Korea flew a test missile over the US...it would have been blasted to Kingdom Come in immediate retaliation.

There is a difference between terrorism and geopolitical unrest with the potential of war. We'll see. I tend to agree with you that this may be another shrugged off event, but it would be nice to get some more volatility. Today was such a boring day--went for a 40 km bike ride and went for a swim. I'd like some action on the screen once in a while.

Good question. But imagine that the Trump administration neither:

• Takes military action.
• Nor promotes worldwide condemnation through the UN.

Imo, that can't be the correct approach.

IMO the risk here is not being properly assessed by market gurus, and damn sure the media. All stories tonight are on the storm, or Russian conspiracy theories. We have, by everyone's opinion, a loose cannon in the White House. A very thin skinned guy who doesn't take well to being shown up. On the other end we have a raving lunatic who has zero fear and a proclivity to poke the barking dog. This goes south it will be like nothing we've seen in a very long time. I really don't think anyone is calculating the abject horror of seeing several million people killed in a very short period of time.
