NinjaTrader Powered with TD Ameritrade Account

Hi everyone!
I want some advices about how ninjatrader would perform powered with a td ameritrade account? The purpose is to use ninjatrader with td ameritrade, to trade future contracts and i'm wondering if the connection between the two is stable enough in a scalping way, like opening and closing positions with 10 second duration.
I also like so much their thinkorswim platform, and this way it would be great to run my automated strategies on ninjatrader and see market trough their awesome platform and studies, using the same account. if someone can tell me if it's possible and how effective it is, it would be great. Thanks

Hi Josker,

Although NinjaTrader supports TD Ameritrade this support does not extend to futures through thinkorswim. Only stock trading is supported. We support many other brokerages for futures trading including but not limited to our own www.ninjatraderbrokerage.com and interactive brokers.

I was expecting a positive answer about trading futures with a td ameritrade account on ninjatrader. But if you say it's possible with ninjatraderbrokerage and IB I'll make some researches and make my choice. But do you think the connection between the two and ninjatrader is enough solid for scalping?

Dp you mean is the TDA connection to NinjaTrader suitable for scalping? If yes, the TDA API that we use was not designed for scalping stocks where milliseconds count. Opening and closing within ten seconds is possible but not optimal.

Absolutely. I initially developed NinjaTrader back in 2003 to personally scalp futures :)

Second question, so through ninjatrader powered with IB you can trade futures, forex and stocks using ninjatrader and still see in realtime your positions in TWS?

Ray - my question is exactly the same as what Josker asked here. I want to use "automated strategies" with Ninja Trader and API to TWS for swing trading, but challenges are to keep both NT and TWS "ALL THE TIME RUNNING" as if one of shut down, syncing pos back to wheer it was, seem nea to impossible
tried NTs'"Immediately submit live working orders and "sync account position=TRUE"
Though it works great for Day trading, quite hard for swing trading which holds a position for weeks/months
any solution to this ? anyone else know a solution is really appreciated
