Ray, do you have a short webpage highlighting the differences between 6.5 -> 7?

Does anybody have experience with whether or not 7 is faster and better at resource utilization than the old version?

Im a CTA and been using Ninjatrader for over 3 yrs. I trade ES and GBP, and EUR fulltime.

I started out with the 6 series Ninja obviously and now have been using the 7. The 7 runs much more efficiently in terms of memory & cpu usage especially in multi threaded mode. 64 bit OS, quad core cpu and at least 4gb is highly recommended to take advantage of Ninja 7

You can overlay charts on top of other charts and indicators, plus many other upgrades, they have done a fantastic job with Ninja 7.

From what Ive heard the 6.5 version will be around for quite a while before they even consider(if they ever do) phasing it out.

Ray, congrats on the new version. I have tested NinjaTrader a few years ago but haven't looked at it recently. I'd be interested in knowing your thoughts on having a scaled-down version run on Linux natively without Windows emulators or Virtual Machines? I understand it was built for Windows and .NET and I am thinking more of a version that doesn't have all the bells and whistles but offers basic charting, customization and auto-trade capabilities and is compact and fast. I'd be very interested if this were ever to materialize. Thanks.

Hi Ray,

Congrats on the release. I have developed a lot of scripts in 6.5. Did the language changed in any way? Would i need to make changes to code or is it all backwards compatible?

Thanks,
redduke

Thank you. At this time, we have no plans for a native linux version.
