Zen-Fire is more than just Rithmic. Rithmic merely makes and operates the trading platform used by Zen-Fire.

Got it. Omnesys makes some messaging software which Rithmic in turn uses to make A trading platform which Zen Fire uses for their product.

So Zen Fire is just a hodgepodge of 3rd party software (rithmic, omnesys).

JJW: Rithmic is an ISV to many exchanges and trading venues. We list them on that page. Rithmic is an ISV to FXCM.

how long does the "checked for available margin and other authorizations" take ?
JJW: Though there is variation from deployment to deployment and even within a deployment, the median time taken to process an order (the time just after the Rithmic infrastructure first recevies an order to the time just after that order is sent to an exchange) - which includes the various margin checks and other authorizations to which I alluded previously - is generally less than 900 microseconds.
