The point is everyone was making a huge fuss over the Asian markets being down a lot when they don;t seem to realize that there are huge fundamental differences between the US economy and the economy of Germany, Japan, and Hong Kong. In America the fed will print as much money as needed and bailout as as many companies as required to kep the recoveries as brief as posible. Americans don't save money unlike Japan and Germany. Thats why the selloff is so limited and brief.
