Nikkei 25,000!

Quote from granville:

Isn't if funny how a slow evolving change in the banking industry would be suddenly noticed by the investment world? Physiology sure does play a role!

you mean PSYCHOLOGY not physiology...

Look at Nikkei. Came back from the low. I bet in a few weeks we'll be back at the all time high if not sooner.

Mark my words...

The all time high was about 39,000 if I remember rightly.

They have slowly worked through those banking problems already. There are MASSIVELY PENTED UP cash among Japanese households. Should they decided to get back into their equity markets that's like trillions of added cash and liquidity!

a new high since you were borm?:)

let's rock n' roll

No, I meant our recent high of 16765 or whatever it was. I'm not talking about the absolute all-time high. That will take years...

Long term, I look for the Nikkei to trade within three years above the all time high of 40,000. I put $100,000 into the Japan market yesterday (I could pull the money back out at any time as I buy and sell a Topix 100 Index tracker on a day by day basis). I think the Japan market is now fairly valued; However, I also think the new generation of young Japan investors will over do things.

Catoosa,

So you buy the equities and not the Topix or Nikkei futures? With 100K in futures you would be up quite a bit today. hehe.

I bought RYJPX (Rydex Large Cap Japan benchmark Fund). The futures move is great when I am right but puts the pressure on when I am wrong.
