Nike becomes first NFL sponsor to take a side in Trump vs NFL

No, it doesn't.

What is the upside in wading into a politically charged topic? Don't think from the vantage point of a social justice warrior. Think from an officer of a company. Sure, you might get some folks to agree with you. But which is more likely?

Nike will get more customers that previously did not buy Nike sportswear.
Nike will lose customers it had that suddenly are pissed off.

Anyone who understands customer service at consumer goods companies knows that negative impulses from consumers are always 10x louder than positive impulses from consumers.

Kelloggs - fail. Starbucks - fail. Target - fail. Show me an example where a company made a politically charged position known, and it worked out to there advantage.

The upside is the arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends towards justice.

There is no downside to being on the side of right. The narrative that this protest is against the military is a fallacy. The protests in the nfl are about inequality in the justice system - that’s the truth.

Nike may take some small hits quickly but for a company like Nike, that will be making Nike’s still in a hundred years, they don’t want to be seen as in the fence on this. The nfl players will prevail because they are right and their cause is true. The fallacy of them protesting the military will fade away because it is a lie.

For Nike, they’d rather be on the side of the truth than a lie and that is right.

Making a short statement saying you support the rights to athletes free speech is a long, long way from making Kaepernick your poster child. It's not even in the same solar system.

Everything everyone does, according to the retarded SJW left, is just a big FU to Trump..
Kneeling, McCain and Aretha Franklin dying, Russian salad dressing...
it's all just a comedic farce of epic proportion.

Libtards uniting in their stupidity.
