My reference to Larry Williams had nothing to do with anyone other than the man himself. My trading "education," such as it is, came primarily from screen time and secondarily from far too many books on the subject, most, but not all, of which had little or no value. (Certainly business school in the '80s didn't teach me anything about trading.) I first came across Larry Williams's name in Gallacher's Winner Take All, which I read in the mid-90s, when I first became interested in trading the markets.

Since that time, I had come across other material written either about Williams or by him. And I've had the good fortune not to spend a dime on anything he had to peddle. Over the years, I had arrived at the conclusion that there is a lot of vendor trash out there. I am of the view that Mr. Williams figures prominently upon that heap.
For your information, because I was appalled by what I had read about him, I even took it upon myself to verify Gallacher's claims about Williams by speaking with the NFA and, with some doing, one of their enforcement attorneys. Gallacher's claims were valid and, in my opinion, he rather held back somewhat. I discussed this matter under my previous user name, Thunderdog. Feel free to search for it. I had inadvertently made one factual error in my discussion about Williams, and I immediately acknowledged and corrected that error when the matter was brought to my attention by another poster. But that's all I'll say at this time. I don't want to spoil the drama for you.
Did you know that Dr. William's daughter also WON the Robbin's Cup following her Father's guidance?
