NFLX earnings - The fun begins October 14

NFLX could hit $140.00+ after earnings. I have my eye on the October 16 130.00 calls.

I think it was interesting and wondering why they announced the price increase prior to earnings, i.e. they will be that good?
 
I think NFLX is way too overpriced. No positive cashflow, very low profits, rate of new subscription is lower then before. subscribers will grow mostly outside US. With IV 120% it is better to sell options - Theta is 0,5 wich means that for every day - time decay will bring 50USD to the seller. So I sold PUT and sold CALL OTM, and I sold more CALLs then puts - thinking that decline is more probable. But this stock is crazy and can do anything.

I think it was Q3 last year that NFLX jumped about +10% after earnings in AH trading only to see it reverse to about -10% by the end of the following day. Usually those big AH gains or losses are carried over to the next day.

I was talking about the month before / month after, not just AH. 2010, 2011, and 2012 Q3 earnings all reversed >9% pre-earnings moves from the previous month.

Well if you are buying 130 calls, I'm going to sell 130 calls. Maybe I will get your fill. Let me know if you are changing strikes as I will gladly sell you any OTM call that you want to buy.

Let me know if you want to buy any OTM puts too. I've got some of those for sale also.
