NFLX earnings - The fun begins October 14

NFLX earnings - The fun begins October 14

NFLX
earnings are October 14. I believe they are the first of the "tech titans" to report, then the following two weeks for the rest of them.

  • AAPL
  • MSFT
  • GOOGL
  • AMZN
  • PCLN
  • FB
  • TSLA

Get your option chains out and start planning your trades. I'm on the bullish side and will be looking at buying some OTM calls.

lol -- i remember the last time you did one of these reports last earnings season (or a trade journal somewhere)...you ended up wrong and negative alot :p in the overall end.

yeah, I think I'll run out and buy near-dated OTM just-post-ER premium on the ultimate crush-machine stocks.

I am convinced that, literally, for the most part, most of the time, the moves of these particular stocks are driven by the option net positions. A sucker's graveyard and IMO your odds with that strategy are pretty good if getting' demolished is the goal.

On a positive note.... Good luck

  • Long weekly OTM options is the least riskiest option position.
  • Long weekly OTM options has the best risk:reward ratio.
  • "High IV" has little impact on the profit/loss.
  • Earnings is an exciting time to be long options.
