Glad to see it. I for one have grown tired watching rich black guys play sports... then throw their "woe is me and my kind... and we all need to get paid in reparation for what your ancestors did 10 generations back", politics in my face. Pfffft!

Not that I care any longer... I've given up on watching. (I still watch sports though... golf, ladies golf, fast-pitch softball, hockey, bowling, billiards, corn hole, ski racing, tennis, biathlon.)

They aren't complaining about what someone's ancestors did 10 generations back...

In fact, they are complaining about what's occurring in the current generation (this year, last year) from police brutality, knee on the necks, using EMT to illegally inject drugs into you, profiling and many other things that had nothing to do with many generations ago.

By the way, other races play sports too and they are very rich (e.g. tennis, soccer, hockey, F1 racing, etc)...just a friendly reminder.

Almost forgot, other races are protesting too. I'm sure you must have saw that too. :D

Seriously, I watched a soccer game on TV the other day. Not something I normally do (I'm a big hockey fan) but I was bored. I didn't know anything about the club but they had a black guy on their team...the entire team was taking a knee.

I'm sure they all make a lot of money but it would be very odd if I single out that one black guy for taking a knee in protest of inequality that's happen this year / recent years and not mentioning the other dozen or so white players doing the exact same thing in unity.

Yet the coach seemed to be a bit nervous...pacing back n forth in front of them waiting for whatever National Athem song finish playing (it was not a U.S. team nor game in the U.S.).

The prior week, I watched a ATP tennis match between two spanish guys (not black guys). One of them walked out with a George Floyd shirt on and then took off his shirt to put on another shirt to play his tennis match.

My point, if you think only "rich black guys" are protesting...you're way behind the times considering the entire world seems to be protesting regardless if they are rich, middle income or poor.

It is not rich black athletes crying woe is me......rich black athletes are crying for those who are not rich and famous facing daily dscrimination.

My view is that if I want to think about politics... I can rant on elitetrader.
When I want to be entertained... I prefer to watch what the entertainers do best.
Whether it be music, sports or acting.

They have every right to free speech.
I hope that we can always take a stand against corporate interests
and govt.

I am just forced to watch or do something else...
where I can be in the moment.

We get to see the NBA types do the "America sucks" routine rather regularly because of human rights, rascism, oppression, excessive police force. etc. etc.

You won't see them the fuckers standing up to their Chinese overlords though will you? No taking a knee for Hong Kong, no protesting Ugyar concentration camps when they are on the Chinese dime.

When we gonna see the protests from them about Nike's use of child and prison labor and demand that Nike manufacturing be brought back to the U.S. Probably not anytime soon.

When I watch sports, I watch to be entertained and not to be lectured by dumb jocks without even a high school education, lecturing me what to believe in and who to vote for. Idiots like these guys are not even a dime a dozen. Like picking up trash in a dumpsite. If they want to turn the NBA, NFL and MLB into CNN, they can all pound sand. I am out permanently. There is a ton of reality shows to entertain myself with , not counting the WWE wrestling.

Lebron and his ilk are only concerned about the monies. They do not give a rats ass about the slave labor used to make his sneakers including, political prisoners forced to work long hours and even tortured if they fail to follow their communist overlords.

It's a good thing that Nike is not located anywhere close to a lib city because if they were, the libs would be all over them and their China connections and abuses. There would be protests 24/7 for months because lefties care about global abuses and American corporate participation. Oh wait. I just looked at a map. Nike headquarters is right next to Portland, Oregon. My bad. The protesters in Portland are busy burning down businesses of immigrants to show how woke they are.
