NFL Ponzi Scheme In Danger Of Collapsing

its amazing how smart and conservative a democrat can become when their business is attacked.

buffett owes how many billion in taxes... he becomes very conservative when his money is on the line.. he even fights the IRS.

Of course in fairness, it must be noted that the NFL is a relative oasis of sanity and deep thought compared to the repulsive NBA. One player objected to the term "owner", thinking it reeked of slavery. That was too much for even Mark Cuban to tolerate. http://nypost.com/2017/11/03/mark-cuban-draymond-green-owes-nba-an-apology/

Another week, more empty seats.

Multiple fights yesterday, and they blame the refs. Typical. Couldn't be the uncontrollable thugs on the field. Excuse and appease, excuse and appease. Gee, why all the violence?

Its seems to me these guys need to mind their athletic privilege.

I think one problem in the NFL is the lack of diversity. I think the lack of diversity is making the on field product very dull. Its the same strong fast athletes making excellent plays.

We need some 50 year old guys at outside linebacker.
And we need some people with PHDs.
Maybe 20 percent of the players needed to go to d3 schools
10 percent who served 5 years or more in the military.
5 percent who studied theater
5 percent who studied theology
10 percent who never played in college

seriously... when the kneeling league comes to its senses... they are going to have to make the product more interesting with fewer commercials.

in regards to commercials - "football" in Europe (known as soccer here) in many countries does not break for commercials. They put the ads in some portion of the screen for about three minute sequence and then go back to full screen.

I know American football has timeouts, etc. that lend itself to having commercial breaks but it has become excessive. They should work to scale the full commercials back and use the European model to display ads in a portion of the screen for three minute segments in the game IMO. Not only in football but in other U.S. sports.

They can't do that and then be able to pay multi-million dollar salaries. If anything, we can expect more "commercial timeouts" and extended lengths of said commercials. Writing is on the wall, they're in a death spiral.

I see it. i agree.

that is why I keep hoping they cut back.
they need to be greedy long term.

right now they are blowing themselves up with greed and stupidity.

The fights were gruesome and inexcusable. How is it that one guy jumps another guy from behind and both get ejected?

They need some multi-game suspensions for fights like we saw yesterday. Unless they want to turn it into hockey.
