I just don't think it would be wise to associate FORCE (offensive aggression) with the flag, certainly not in this situation. The anthem itself is an ode to defense.
So, setting offense aside (the game hasn't even started yet), the flag should be about common ground that everyone can agree on.
Since the lyrics don't give enough common ground anymore, perhaps the common ground should be stated, over the loudspeaker, prior to the spectacle of singers flexing throat muscles.
