Too late. They've already shown their true colors. Any redacting/recanting they do now will be purely for $$$. (Jerry Jones and the Cowboys can kiss my white ass!)

Had enough of paying to watch "rich black guys play'n sports", piss'n-moan'n about how "whitey ain't fair". I'm no longer going to attend games... not watching on TV to be "marketed to because I've got some money to spend", either.

Fuck the NFL!! (NBA too, for that matter.)

BLM? "Mattering" less and less to me each day as time goes by.

Women’s tennis is great. highly competitive and under appreciated in the sporate world.

To the larger point, not yours directly, this whole thing with the nfl only shows how easily manipulated some people are. The teams used to practice through the national anthem. It wasn’t until the military started to pay the nfl that it was even played on tv. When the broadcast used to return from commercials too early the broadcasters used to talk through the anthem. No one said anything until it was black people protesting.

In a way the nfl deserves this for trying to profit off patriotism. I personally don’t think you should force anybody to do anything. When Kaepernick was sitting for the anthem, that was disrespectful. He changed to kneeling at the request of a serviceman because it was a sign of distress and prayer.

Whatever the case here we are with people protesting on either side. I hope all the best players decide to boycott if they’re forced to stand this way the Giants have a fighting chance!

Every week revenue is shrinking for the NFL. On issues like this that impact the entire league there are written standards (with fines, etc.) that apply to all teams that leave owners with little individual choice. I expect the NFL standards book is about to get updated in the next couple weeks to require players stand for the anthem. Those who fail to comply will be fined and/or released from their teams. This action by the league is long overdue. The fall in revenue is finally forcing the hand of the NFL to take action.

It's getting out of hand. Trump can bicker all he wants, but when he's strong arming the NFL to comply or face IRS sanctions, it's tantamount to stepping on people's 1st amendment.

Not to mention potential boycott from black players.

Good. Either you stand for the anthem in your fancy stadiums built with taxpayer money or you feel the heat from the federal government --- long overdue.
