NFL not expected to implement new national anthem policy this season

]
Are people still arguing about this?

Come on. That Chiefs Patriots game last night was awesome! Sorry if you missed it.

Indeed it was.Prior to the game one of the commentators said Belicheck is something like 26-1 against young/under the age of 25 QBs

And now the Carolina Panthers have this idiot as their owner.

Panther tickets are now showing up on GroupOn / Fanxchange at a steep discount after his absurd comments.

The Carolina's --- even in the middle of a hurricane -- are not going to put up with this nonsense which offends many of the military & former military members here. Many people are urging the new idiot owner to move his team elsewhere as soon as possible.

NFL Owner Rips Trump for Criticizing Anthem Protesters

Dave Tepper has not been an NFL owner for a very long time. However, he’s wasted no time letting everyone know where he comes down on the issue of NFL anthem protests.

Tepper, the billionaire businessman and hedge fund manager who purchased the Panthers in the offseason, decried President Trump’s rants against the protesters as “the biggest bunch of bull-dinky ever.”

According to the New York Post:

NFL players are the ‘most patriotic people’ in the country — with substantial charitable contributions to their local communities, Tepper said in an interview on CNBC.

Tepper did not mention Trump by name but at one point in the interview referred to the red-headed man in Washington.

During the interview, the hedgie recited the Pledge of Allegiance, calling its words among the most patriotic things he knows and it being what America is about. Tepper emphasized during his pledge the words, ‘and justice for all.’

In a nod to the social justice cause NFL players claim to be protesting for, Tepper said the national anthem during his interview, placing special emphasis on the words, “and justice for all.”

This is hardly Tepper’s first foray into politics. Just prior to the 2016 election, the founder of Appaloosa Management blasted both Hillary Clinton and then-candidate Trump.

“You have one person with questionable judgment and the other person may be demented, narcissistic and a scumbag. Not saying which one’s which. You can make your own decision on that,” Tepper explained in October 2016.

The protest movement launched by former 49er Colin Kapernick, is entering its third year.

Kaepernick filed a collusion grievance against the NFL earlier this year alleging that the league’s owners had conspired under pressure from President Trump, to keep him out of the league. The former 49er’s legal team won their summary judgment case against the league last week, meaning that the case can now proceed to the trial phase.

The NFL changed their anthem policy in May, requiring all players on the field to stand and show respect during the playing of the Star-Spangled Banner. However, the NFLPA filed a grievance against the league, accusing the NFL of not including them in the decision making process. The NFL then suspended the enforcement provisions of the new rule, until the two sides could come to a compromise on a new rule.

And this is how we celebrate Thanksgiving in the Carolina's..... the family arguments are over NFL players standing for the anthem. There were at least two incidents in our state that involved the police being called.

Many people outside our region don't understand the depth of disdain that people in our state hold for NFL players who don't stand for the National Anthem. Many families have military members with very strong opinions that the NFL needs to immediately terminate these players.

An argument over professional athletes taking a knee during the national anthem led to a Cary father accidentally shooting his son during Thanksgiving dinner, according to a search warrant.

The warrant says Jorge Luis Lamadrid Valencia, 41, and Esteban Valencia, 21, had sat down to Thanksgiving dinner at their Fallsworth Drive home when Esteban Valencia and his brother began arguing about kneeling during the national anthem.

Jorge Valencia told police Esteban Valencia became confrontational with his brother during the argument and was asked to leave the home.

Jorge Valencia said Esteban Valencia refused to leave and attempted to charge at the brother with whom he had been arguing, according to the warrant.

The warrant states Jorge Valencia told police he got his gun and convinced his son to leave the house, but the son returned shortly after and continued to argue.

Jorge Valencia told authorities he took Esteban Valencia’s bags and put them on the porch, but his son continued to argue and began throwing patio furniture.

When Esteban Valencia threw a water bottle at his father, hitting him in the face, Jorge Valencia pulled the trigger and fired his gun, hitting his son, according to the warrant.

Jorge Valencia was charged with aggravated assault in connection with the incident.

Fixed that for you

Yeah... you are using an immigrant Hispanic family for your assertion of racism. I take it once again you failed to read the article... so your depraved ignorance comes through in full bloom.

Your argument is "the NFL is causing people to shoot themselves, they should reverse their decisions and spare our feelings."

Also, there's plenty of Hispanic racists.
