NFL not expected to implement new national anthem policy this season

The funny thing about these ‘protests’ is that they will NEVER EVER end. WHY would Any of these players ever STOP kneeling? Their perceived victimization is a lifelong delusion.

These poor victims...fighting SO HARD for their causes...by kneeling during the anthem...will always find some reason to bitch and moan about something.

Because everyone, especially the multimillionaire black athletes, are oppressed by whitey, specifically cops.

If it’s not ‘police brutality’ or ‘black oppression’ it will be some other feigned cause.

And now the Carolina Panthers have this idiot as their owner.

Panther tickets are now showing up on GroupOn / Fanxchange at a steep discount after his absurd comments.

The Carolina's --- even in the middle of a hurricane -- are not going to put up with this nonsense which offends many of the military & former military members here. Many people are urging the new idiot owner to move his team elsewhere as soon as possible.

NFL Owner Rips Trump for Criticizing Anthem Protesters

Dave Tepper has not been an NFL owner for a very long time. However, he’s wasted no time letting everyone know where he comes down on the issue of NFL anthem protests.

Tepper, the billionaire businessman and hedge fund manager who purchased the Panthers in the offseason, decried President Trump’s rants against the protesters as “the biggest bunch of bull-dinky ever.”

According to the New York Post:

NFL players are the ‘most patriotic people’ in the country — with substantial charitable contributions to their local communities, Tepper said in an interview on CNBC.

Tepper did not mention Trump by name but at one point in the interview referred to the red-headed man in Washington.

During the interview, the hedgie recited the Pledge of Allegiance, calling its words among the most patriotic things he knows and it being what America is about. Tepper emphasized during his pledge the words, ‘and justice for all.’

In a nod to the social justice cause NFL players claim to be protesting for, Tepper said the national anthem during his interview, placing special emphasis on the words, “and justice for all.”

This is hardly Tepper’s first foray into politics. Just prior to the 2016 election, the founder of Appaloosa Management blasted both Hillary Clinton and then-candidate Trump.

“You have one person with questionable judgment and the other person may be demented, narcissistic and a scumbag. Not saying which one’s which. You can make your own decision on that,” Tepper explained in October 2016.

The protest movement launched by former 49er Colin Kapernick, is entering its third year.

Kaepernick filed a collusion grievance against the NFL earlier this year alleging that the league’s owners had conspired under pressure from President Trump, to keep him out of the league. The former 49er’s legal team won their summary judgment case against the league last week, meaning that the case can now proceed to the trial phase.

The NFL changed their anthem policy in May, requiring all players on the field to stand and show respect during the playing of the Star-Spangled Banner. However, the NFLPA filed a grievance against the league, accusing the NFL of not including them in the decision making process. The NFL then suspended the enforcement provisions of the new rule, until the two sides could come to a compromise on a new rule.

And now the Carolina Panthers have this idiot as their owner/

The last owner was forced to sell the team for being a racist and sexual predator but I don't recall you ever making a post specifically to condem him like you just did Tepper and Tepper didnt do anything wrong:rolleyes:.

Tepper supports justice for all / blacks and you are moved to make a post condemning him:rolleyes:

Man you continually out yourself as a dumb ass and it's getting worse by the week. I watched the first Carolina game it appeared to be a sell out. The franchise value is at an all time high. Meanwhile, North Carolina's history as a poorly managed state with respect to recognizing climate change and rising ocean levels has become an issue even with a category one storm.

The world doesn't care what you or your US military friends think. You are the same group who believed in invading Iraq. Your track record in being a good global citizen and using common sense is abysmal. Given that, who the hell cares what you think about anything.

I think given his behavior on this site that the correct response to GWB is tell him to go fuck himself. The man is a severe narcissist who thinks he can control the world with his ideas. At one point, I thought he was a little more sensible then the intolerant racists like AAA and Scat on here, or the completely out there delusionals like Jem, but that appears not to be the case.

As usual Nine_Ender is pouring on the hate devoid of any facts.

Let's get to the actual facts involving the Carolina Panthers and the management of North Carolina in regards to storms.

First let's address the facts about the Carolina Panthers:
  • 72% of Americans believe that NFL players kneeling during the national anthem are unpatriotic (Source: Reuters). Over 80% of Carolina Panther fans believe that NFL players should stand for the national anthem (Source: Charlotte Observer).
  • 43% of fans who attend Carolina Panther games are military or former military members & families. This is the highest percentage in the NFL.
  • The Carolina Panthers is the team with the most paid military presentations at games. Higher than all the other teams in the NFL. Remember that the NFL included the national anthem at games in part so the U.S. military would support the league.
  • The former owner of the Panthers -- despite his numerous faults -- demanded that his players stand for the national anthem. This position was widely supported by the Carolina Panther fans.
  • The Carolina Panthers have high attendance (Ranked 7 out of all the teams in 2017 in raw numbers; ranked number 1 for the % of seats filled in home games - https://247sports.com/nfl/atlanta-f...ms-by-2017-attendance-116737578/#116737578_32
  • The attendance for Panther games so far in 2018 have been high before the new owner made his comments.
  • The backlash to the new owner's comments locally has been brutal with many fans urging the team to move.
  • We will see if the comments lead to a drop in attendance to the remaining games in 2018. Certainly tickets in the secondary market have now dropped to 50% of their price prior the new owner's comments.
  • The Carolina Panthers stadium deal expires in 2019. Charlotte is attempting to budget money (which is not available for four years) in an attempt to keep the Panthers in Charlotte. https://www.charlotteobserver.com/sports/nfl/carolina-panthers/article211171644.html
  • At this point, many fans and state government officials would urge the Carolina Panthers to leave. The state has refused to budget any money to keep the Panthers, viewing the entire financial arrangement as an absurd boondoggle for the owners of the team.
  • The only government officials who would be unhappy about the Panthers leaving North Carolina are some local government officials in Charlotte.
  • Charlotte will not be building a new stadium demanded by the Panther owners. There is no money for it.
  • Many people in North Carolina expect the Panthers to move. And considering the new -out-of-state owner's offensive comments the majority of people in North Carolina would cheer the move.
Let's address storms and North Carolina:
  • Hurricanes have hit the North Carolina coast for thousands of years while it has been inhabited by man.
  • There is recorded history of the storms hitting the North Carolina coast for hundreds of years. Many stronger than any storm in the past 30 years.
  • The coastal area of North Carolina and South Carolina is a low-lying area. There are many swamps. A good portion of the coastal area has been back-filled and developed.
  • The coastal area of North Carolina has experienced flooding issues for hundreds of recorded years. The property damage each time (in terms of dollars) increases due to the continued development.
  • The current storm (Florence) may only be a category 1 but it has brought record rainfall levels due to it sitting over our state for days. The rainfall total exceeds Floyd and all earlier storms. The primary issue will be flooding.
  • The intensity of storms hitting our coast has not increased due to climate change.
  • The water level increases at our coast over the past 30 years have not been meaningful.
  • The barrier islands in North Carolina constantly rollback. Any structure placed on these islands is eventually doomed. It is just a matter of time.
  • Permanent houses should have never been build on the barrier islands. It is absurd that many million dollar homes are built up & down our coast. These houses are all eventually doomed and it has nothing to do with climate change.
  • It is absurd that flood insurance (with our tax dollars) covers these homes on the barrier islands that never should have been built.
  • North Carolina is one of the best managed states in hurricane response. We depend on our state & local response first, and don't rely on the federal government for the immediate response.
  • The low death toll can be attributed to the well-structured state & local government response. Sadly 13 people have died in this storm (as of now). It should be noted that all of these deaths occurred in areas under mandatory evacuation. The impacted area is large. The population in the impacted coastal region of over 3 million is greater than Houston or New Orleans -- and over a much larger geography to attend to for rescues, re-location, assistance, etc.
  • The worse flooding from rivers will start on Monday. This has been a traditional problem that the state has contended with for hundreds of years. This situation for North Carolina is not over when the storm leaves.

I will note that when you present the facts all you hear from Nine_Ender is crickets.

But I am sure he will show up with more insults and absurd allegations.

Just for the record... BTW it has nothing to do with "Global Warming" - it has to due with the storm only moving at 2mph after it hit the coast and staying around for days.

Record rainfall: Some saw almost 3 feet from Florence
https://www.wral.com/florence-causes-record-rainfall-/17850750/

Hurricane Florence caused a record amount of rainfall in North Carolina and has created the highest rainfall total for any tropical system to ever strike the East Coast of the United States, according to CNN.

The highest totals so far were measured in Elizabethtown, where 35.93 inches accumulated over four days. Swansboro saw more than 33 inches of rain, its highest total since Hurricane Floyd in 1999, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

Rainfall totals in the town of Gurganus near Jacksonville showed just over 30 inches of rain, with the Hoffman Forest gage measuring 29 inches. Oak Island measured 26.98 inches of rain, while Whiteville saw 25.91 inches.
