The Seahawks Dfense owned the Arron & Co the whole game. A Pack win was a given, or was it... Arron is whining all over his radio station..if you're that great shouldn't come down to one call should it?

As the underdogs Seahawks won the game the whole way regardless of this call. Props to them all the way

Quote from PiggyBank:

I wouldn't say plenty AAA, but now that they have IR back - they should make the RIGHT calls, no? There is no doubt in my mind at all that these refs are making significantly more seriously terrible calls than the regular guys. Also the real refs are more consistent, if it is pass int for one team then it is for the other, for example.. there is NO discernible consistency with the replacements, not across the league and not even during a single game. The Monday night game was the most poorly officiated game I have ever watched.

I'm not disagreeing about the poor officiating. I am saying it is something that teams have to deal with, like bad weather. Teams that adjust better will get an edge.

One thing I have noticed in limited viewing is the new refs don't seem to be playing favorites. At times I have felt like the old refs tended to defer to the league's elite teams and coaches a bit. Things like critical holding or pass intereference calls always seemed to break in their favor. The last thing the league needs is an NBA-type refereeing culture, where there are different rules for star players and marque teams.

I am infinitely more irratated missing my fill of QCOR by a penny on the open than I am of a bunch of overpaid asses at all levels, refs, players administrators at the pro sports level. I have more bleeps for that than a Packer loss everyday.

two things:

1) you can't adjust to a call that gives the other team YOUR win.. can't be done. :D
2) I agree with the playing favorites thing. Any time Brady goes down i expect a flag, not cause there was a penalty but because it's brady. annoying and unfair as those calls are, i'd take them back over the calls we are getting now.. and I can't stand brady.

From Letterman last night:

Top Ten Signs You're A Bad Referee

- Every call you make begins with "Uhhh...."

- Won't throw flag on field because you'd just have to pick it up

- Can't believe how many players' autographs you're getting

- Never sure how many balls should be in play

- Missed last three calls because beer vendor was slow giving you change

- You're hated everywhere but Seattle
