NFL 2010 Playoff, Super Terrific Happy Bowl!!!!!

2-2 this weekend. I didn't see NE laying such a huge egg. How did they get that thing out?

And how the hell did GB have the second ranked defense in the NFL? Between the Steelers and Cardinals games, they allowed almost 1100 yards and 88 points. So much for defense winning championships.

Ravens @Colts
I'm pretty sure Peyton isn't going to hand the Ravens the ball on his own 9, 17, 22 and 28 yard line. I don't know what's up with Tommy Boy. It looks like NE traded the wrong QB. The Colts get another win over Baltimore. Colts 24-13

Cowboys @Vikings

The Cowboys look like they're on fire, but I think it's just because they've owned Philly this year and they caught the Saints while they were slumping. Favre wins this one at home. Vikings 30-24

Jets @Chargers

The Chargers are a bunch of punks. But they win this one at home. Hopefully Ryan's defense lumps them up before flying back to New York. Chargers 23-16

Cards @Saints

I honestly can't pick this one. After getting spanked by Dallas and Tampa Bay, I have no idea how the Saints will handle the high scoring Cardinals, especially if Kurt has another one of his games. Guess I'll flip a coin. Heads Cardinals, tails Saints. ...Looks like the Cardinals win this one. Cardinals 56-51

The Packers defense held the second string of the Cardinals last week, they couldn't stop a rookie in Tampa, and other than Dallas and the gimme Cardinal game the wins were all against teams with losing records when they played. They do have some talent, but how good they are maybe found out more next year.
On the other hand, despite the loss, I at least have hope for the Packers offense next year. Wow, that was an awesome game! And yet sucked with the outcome. lol

Colts hold on after pulling their starters when ahead 3-0 after 2 mins. "We want to keep our players healthy for the Pro Bowl"

Fffffffavre retires after 1st Q and holds a tearful press conference. Tries to make a comeback in 4th Q, but too little too late.

Saints win 156-150 in overtime.

Jets apparent winning touchdown with 3 seconds to play in 4th Q is brought back when Rex Ryan gets flagged for a 10 yard "No crying in football" penalty.

Good job Steelers Baby on your picks this Wildcard weekend. 3-1 not bad for a Steelers fan, looking forward to your picks this weekend.

Looking at that total Cards/Saints of 56. Going over that total for sure.

Quote from Steelers Baby:

Ok folks here is next weeks games, accompanied by the spread, and unfortunately my opinion is also tagging along. I am hoping AAAinthebeltway comes in with commentary, as i appreciate his opinion more than anyone on this board when it comes to football.

Jets @ Bengals -2.5
Ravens @ Patriots -3.5
Packers @ Arizona -1
Eagles @ Dallas -4

Game 1, Jets Bengals... Spread Bengals -2.5

In this game I am pretty sure the Jets will roll, especially with last weeks game. Rex Ryan is a beast, as evidenced by the fact that the jets are the number 1 defense in football, 1 year after he left the Ravens(who are now reeling on defense after being number 2 last year) I can not see a beat up Bengals squad beating the Jets. Realistically i think there is only so much a persons heart can take in a season, RIP Chris Henry, sorry for the rest of the team, I can not see the Bengals winning this.

Pick: Jets +2.5

Game 2, Ravens Patriots... Spread Patriots -3.5

This game will come down to defense, Ravens can still pull it off when necessary, Pats can not. Bellicheck proved he wants nothing to do with the faulty PATS defense when he decided to go for it on his own 20 on 4th and 1 against Peyton.

I fully expect the Ravens to defeat the Patriots at home in this game, Thats right home gamers I am betting against Brady. My decision in this game came down to the fact that the ravens probably have the best rushing attack in football, combined with what AT TIMES represents a prolific defense. These 2 variables compiled with the fact that the pats are missing welker makes this a Raven win.

Pick: Ravens +3.5

Game 3, Packers Cards... Spread Arizona -1

Once again my pick is the road team, Greenbay has been tearing the league apart after a pedestrian start to the season, they are 7-1 in the last 8 weeks, their only loss was to my Steelers, and realistically they should have won that game. Rodgers is firing on all cylinders, and they have figured out a way to include Ryan Grant into the offense as of late, which will be crucial down the stretch playing on a cold field. I cant see Warrener and the inconsistent Cards offense beating GB even when Arizona is at home.

Pick: Green Bay +1

Game 4, Philly Dallas.... Spread Dallas -4

Dallas will win this game hands down, Romo has something to prove, and thus far this season he has shown that he is pissed off about this December bullshit which frequents the airwaves about him, he also has a new partner in town in Miles Austin that and the fact that he has a violent runner in Marion Barber and this will end up in a Dallas win. The Eagles are a big play team, but they have no defense. I actually thought Demarcus Ware should have won the MVP over Harrison last year and im a Steeler fan, look for Demarcus to be a game changer this year against Philly

Pick: Dallas -4

Anyways good luck to everyone in the playoffs, since my steelers are out i am allowed to be impartial....
Here is to hoping AAAinthebeltway will add his opinion to this thread.

Cheers!!!

Very good picks Steelers. 75 % on playoff games is awesome. The Arizona game was one for the ages.

I was traveling and unable to get on the thread. I have gotten a little busier lately and just don't have the time to do a thorough job on the games. Looks like you have picked up the baton though and are running with it. keep it up.
