For once, we agree.
I give Rudy credit for straightening out the mess that was NYC, but he seems to have very poor judgment. His personal life became a distraction and wouldn't play very well in a presidential campaign. Also, his police commisioner, the thuggish Bernie Kercik(spelling?), had to back out of the hOmeland Security job when all kinds of wierd stuff started coming out about him. Apparently mob guys were doing construction work gratis for him.
I also agree with RM's comments about Rudy's fascist tendencies. He started a program in NYC to seize the cars of drunk drivers. Very unfair in my opinion and constitutionally dubious. We have enough problems with asset forfeiture abuses. We certainly don't need a president who thinks they are a cute way to get headlines and punish people without trial.
Basically with Rudy I see a guy who, like Clinton, thinks there should be one set of laws for the great unwashed and another for him and his cronies.
Rudy is also way too liberal for republican primary voters. He is pro gay and pro abortion. His best bet is to run for the Senate from NY.
