They are struggling to blame the erosion of trust on the wrong source. The problem is not bloggers or obscure websites. It is the major news outlets, you know, the ones who are working night and day to destroy Trump and cover up for Hillary. In the past their bias was obvious but somewhat more subtle. Now front page "news" stories are littered with opinion, typically asides that Trump is lying about this or that. The public knows Hillary is deeply corrupt and a substantial percentage understand that she was cleared after a sham FBI investigation, yet they see no reporting on it. Hmmm

Newt is a high genius and effective political operator. Agreed. To that, I think he's also a chameleon who knows how to play all the angles.
Translation: A hypocrite with no virtues.
Trump is destroying Trump. The media is simply watching and reporting. The Right expects false equivalency, but Clinton, while imperfect, is not systematically destroying herself. Trump wanted media attention, well, now he has it. Because the respectable media is not operating by the Crazy Right playbook, the Crazy Right believes the media are biased. The problem is a lack of self-awareness. Get some.
