I dunno, just something I wanted to try on GP, just to see what those Mensa people were like.......

After taking many kinds of IQ tests, I realized that 131 is where my median is, and that is the end of it. Stanford Binet wants 132. I took like ten of them, I fluctuated between 127 and 131. So, I accepted that I am not Mensa material and moved on.

That's a pretty bad IQ test for a number of reasons; I won't go into the specifics but suffice it to say on a real IQ test, I would not score this:

That being said, high IQ != wisdom.

There is truth to your statement though. I suspect there are a disproportionate number of above average IQ individuals here on ET.

There are one or two people I've come across here whose IQ really is off the charts.
 
Actually surprisingly i think you are right, with all the childish behaviour and name calling we do (myself included) you would think this site was a bunch of 12 year olds, but it definitely seems like there is a disproportionate amount of smart people on this site as opposed to real life.

High IQ is mostly about being able to figure out patterns, my parents put me into some classes for gifted kids based on some tests we took when i was in like grade 6, and most of the kids who were in the classes were social misfits who couldnt tell you a damn thing about anything that was going on in the world, but were incredible at working out these word problems and math problems and such.

Now can you please tell me how you were able to bang off that 160 score? Im very curious.
