What news streams do people use?
For example, today things looked towards a bounce and then news came out about more cases of coronavirus in the US and markets sold off further.
 
I do realize I am not directly answering the question, so if you find my reply worthless I am sorry. but my point is it's not like people were aggressively buying the markets and than a news article comes out and than they decided to now change their mind and sell. They were already going to sell the markets further they just used the move up to sell into whatever liquidity was there.

Particularly for intra-day trading, I've never seen anyone be able to make a career or consistently trade on news. Sure, there's some off chances where it may help or hurt you but for consistency sake you'd have to rely on your chart and/or risk perimeters.

If you already realize this and your only goal was to find a news stream than I apologize for wasting your time.
 
On another hand, many people seen these news the whole month and expected this pullback, just couldn’t understand why it wasn’t happening sooner. Plenty of other bad news are coming up all the time and nothing happens.
So it’s not really the news, but which big guys decide to press the Sell button. And they decide how to interpret any news, and based on how they were positioned or how they want to be positioned.
(just my 2 cents, I’m only qualified to speculate as much as anyone else)

If you trade on Thinkorswim, under the chat room options go to the room called Global News. It’s the best free real time news feed I could find. It’s a chat bot run through Ransquawk.
 
my message to that biddie who i cant find talking about the long date yen or what the major dealers are doing gamma wise. you have no idea what you are talking about. it is tremendously hard at the sort of place you work to have any understanding of how stuff like this works so i understand why you like to speculate about some otherwordly power, soros maybe. however let me tell you with more than a billion dollars every 10 pips of gamma and lets say 1 billion per percent of vega of non yen dual ccy and more 10 million trades a day. what anyone else does is of very minor importance. let me remind you who knocks soros out of his 100m one touches and trust me its not high on my list.
 
I find that the best tool is a news aggregator. They can be expensive, but you get an aggregation of live news from many different sources where you can filter for what you want to see. They can easily cost over $200 a month.
