Seriously, you think you can resist it because you're aware of it but it's not possible other than switching the 'news' off completely.
 
Only those who lack broad knowledge about the news and are not fast enough claim that news can not be traded.

Trading the news is the most lucrative and least risky if you have the knowledge.
 
I'm aware that the media barons often have motives when they put stuff to print.
I think the best legal insider traders would be those working the printing presses.
When I reads financial news, I immediately suspect something fishy going on and most times won't take the bait, rather bad news is good news and good news is bad news for my trades.

By the time news hits the public media, it already is old news to insiders.
Often, something (eg stock) will move substantially the day before it hits headlines.
Commodities in particular, something will hit the headlines about, say, Nickel, but it happened hours ago.
I see this very frequently, in actual fact, if something moves strangely, I'll sometimes jump onboard, expecting news will come later. Like everything, there's an art to it.
