News app in TWS slow to update

IB newsfeed is generally 2-3 minutes faster than for instance Benzinga or thefly. Probably because the two summariese the news, while IB shoots the news at you from Dow Jones.

The problem is lately the news app is slow to update. This is a new development. It is not a problem using an Iphone - only on desktop.

So I guess I am looking for an alternative that shoots news wires fast in real time.

The biggest problem that I have with Bloomberg is that you have no way to customize it. Their service just encompasses way too many things that you don't really need for this humongous price that they charge you. They are quality content but I don't need them. From what they offer me, I actually just need a very specific service, a newsfeed that can give me super fast news, fast enough for me to make timely trading decisions but in order to get that, I have to get ten thousand other things that I don't need for an extremely high price. They can't just give me this one newsfeed and just charge me for that newsfeed, no.

Is it Bloomberg news or Dow Jones news, which Bloomberg redistribute, that you want?
