This was a surprise that newegg is going public. I was a big newegg customer for years, and I still use them from time-to-time. Lately though I have found Amazon selling the same items as newegg, sometimes for less $$, and usually free shipping. Amazon sells the same CPUs, cases, memory, cabling, drives, monitors, etc.
Newegg was the Holy Grail for a time (Tiger Direct was sloppy seconds), but not so much anymore. Amazon is the online Walmart and we know what often happens to the bottom line of walmartâs competitors.
