Hi,
Investing.com shows https://www.marketwatch.com/investing/stock/005930?mod=mw_quote_switch&countrycode=kr
dividend yield 3.65%, while GDR shows https://www.investing.com/equities/samsung-electronics-co-ltd-gdr?cid=41034
yield 1.54%
My broker, IB, has this Frankfurt ticker:
SSU SAMSUNG ELECTR-GDR REG S FWB
It shows
Dividend
Ex-Date Mar29'21
Dividend 6.58
Yield 1.7%
https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/005930.KS?p=005930.KS
this shows forward yield of 9.42%, while Frankfurt GDR shows 1.78%
https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/SSU.F?p=SSU.F
It seems that these platforms do not get this right, Samsung increased dividend, due to the high demand for chips. SSU(Frankfurt) has backing to 25 Samsung Electronics ordinary share.
So these are questions:
1) why these platforms get this wrong?
2) if I buy this GDR Samsung SSU.F how much provision on dividend for KRW->EUR bank does take, any idea?
3) it seems the market maker (?) creates bids which are increments of 5 for this stock
NBBO
Ask 1540 10
Bid 1535 15
That's a 0.35% spread.
I did put a bid 1536. What happens in this case?
Thanks for help
