Hello Trader333, most online fx brokers in Europe, North America and other countries are registered and regulated by their various authorities, including compliance which relates to solvency. I'd have no concerns about the safety of my funds opening an account with such firms.
Price quotes are generally similar, what you need to be sure of is a trading platform that gives you 'instant' order fills, and does not requote. Most fx brokers provide a free charting program, may offer a more sophisticated pay for use program, may offer a pay for use DDE link to one or more of the major charting programs should you own such a program, fxcm provides all 3 as well as a plugin charting program for their Trading Station, download from: www.fxcorporate.com/FXCM/fxchartfull.EXE .
eSignal is a very expensive rental, the basic service + US$160 per month for forex data, so before renting find if you can get what you want/need for free.

Well this is load of info, I'll have to search a little bit more into forex trading. I traded emini successfully for about a year but now it is getting hard to trade them as there is no range and volatility sucks. I appreciate eveybody's answer. I think this thread will be good for newbies who are looking for alternate instrumennts of trading beyond emini and stocks.

Do you mean they are not trendy anymore?
Just check yesterday's range and most recent days had
near 2% day range.
I don't want to get into emini debate. They do not fit my style of trading anymore. I am sure other traders trade them successfully, but I want to save my money made from emini before it goes down th toilet, and I think forex is a viable solution. I wish to trade most common currencies traded such as euro, usd, cad, aud etc. I am still in learning stage and hope to learn it so I can trade it successfully.
What about tecnical indicators used for forex, as far as I have read messages it seems the same technicals apply as in emini.

Moneytec is an excellent resource for FOREX traders.
I would also agree that metaquates is used by many. It is my preffered "free" cahrting platform. You do not have to sign up with a bank to use it. It is actually used by brokers as a free charting tool when you open a demo account with them.
I use OANDA at oanda.com for my broker and have been pleased so far. Just another option to look into.

Is the "thing" that its URL was provided a bank at all?
I found no bank name there, and the "FDIC member" button should be linked to the FDIC page and take you to the page where information about the member is provided. Like on http://www.CBFX.com/ website...looks very strange. Maybe it it just an IB of Commerce bank, so doesnt wish to put its name on the website in order clients to register through him/her and not directly..I dont know, but the website looks very poor...
so, as always, need to be careful...
I have been looking at dukascopy the last few days, and the numbers correspond well to Esignal's feed (although at a 10-sec update rather than esignal's stream). Anyone have experience with the free dukascopy data?
