Try out FP Markets. I currently trade with their Raw (ECN) account that is regulated by ASIC and has been active in this business for over 10 years.
The spreads are some of the lowest starting from low as 0.0 pips in EURUSD, GBPUSD, etc... been over 6 months and have not faced any server freezing issues so far.

I would suggest the one I use Forexchief, not just because they are regulated and licensed but the availability of their very good and flexible standard and cents accounts such as MT5.DirectFX, MT5.Classic+, Сent-MT5.DirectFX, Сent-MT5.Classic+, MT4.DirectFX, MT4.Classic+, Cent-MT4.DirectFX and Cent-MT4.Classic+.
i can suggest AximTrade. They offer varieties of accounts and min deposit of just $1 so you don't need to commit alot. They also have ASIC licenses so they are well regulated. Check out their aximtrade review if you are interested.
Anyone would be a good choice so long they are regulated, visible, been trading for long and good trading conditions with modern platforms. At least these were the factors I had in mind while considering Forexchief, they checked all the boxes. Especially the fact that they have been providing services for 8 years now, starting its activities in 2014.
From the brokers I have traded with, I suggest using ICM or FP Markets since they are some of the most recommended brokers by other traders.
They provide some of the lowest spreads with a minimum opening balance of $200 USD in ICM and $100 AUD in FP Markets.

This could be true, what I encourage traders to do is to always make sure they check the broker's terms of trades because it says a whole lot about them. And make sure to check or verify licensing and regulation status, I made sure of this before registering with forexchief, as far as going to verify from the agencies. We should always do that as traders because that was what gave me a sense of trust with them.
It's a good idea to check out several brokers and make comparisons between them. Besides from regular license, spread is also important to check as low spread broker will help you save more on your trading cost therefor increase your profit per trade.
It's also very important to get a broker that allows all strategy, giving you freedom to trade however you want with whatever you got. More reason I appreciate and always recommend Forexchief, allowing possibility of using all trading strategies, including scalping, and any tools, as well as Arbitrage.
