Basically the state is using insurance and financial regulatory powers to force companies to sever business ties with the NRA. It's an extension of the Marxist tactics the Obama administration used to force banks to drop gun dealers as customers on the fiction that such businesses posed unacceptable risks.
Fighting such tactics is expensive and difficult, as the laws tend to give such bodies as insurance regulators wide discretion. Obviously that discretion was not meant to be abused in this fashion.
My question is, where is the Trump administration in this? Where is the DOJ? Why aren't they filing suit against Cuomo and NY for civil rights violations? I know busting someone for smoking a joint is a far bigger priority for Sleepy Sessions, but we are in a war. Trump needs to put his twitter machine down and focus on actually doing something. That means standing up to lawless federal judges who are now ordering him to continue obama's illegal DACA program. It means siccing the DOJ on sanctuary cities and those which fail to protect lawful demonstrators from antifa mobs. And it obviously means taking action against states that are misusing their regulatory machinery to attack our side.
