Disliking rapists more than "brown people" is solid moral ground. Can't believe it needs to be said.
I did volunteer work at a homeless shelter for youths/teenagers (typically someone who ran away from home) on the weekends that was sponsored by a local church when I was in College and later again for a few months each year when I was in the military...
I've seen what rape does to a woman and seen how they're blamed and/or defamed for being raped. The weakest ones can not manage it...they run away from it...sometimes from other states.
Today, I have three children...
my youngest is a girl. It's one of the reasons why I decided to raise a family outside of the U.S...to protect my family for as long as possible because I've learned many idiots can not see the bigger danger to America, danger to Democracy and to the U.S. Constitution.
We saw the danger before Trump infected the Republican party. A danger that has nothing to do with politics. Simply, I saw too much ugliness in college, and the military...it can not be unseen.
Also, my spouse (a West Point alum) and I would often second-guess our decision to raise a family outside of the United States. We stopped second-guessing ourselves when Trump became President.
In addition, my mother (she's white)
was (no longer) a resident of Trump Tower in Chicago. She saw how the Trump Organization (the management) treated people of color who were American citizens. The man is poison and it's a shame that Carroll pursued only a civil case against Trump and not a criminal case.
Unfortunately, my youngest son has a close friend that was raped in Europe by an American...the family of the American blamed and defamed her even though they did not know her and never met her.
It truly is a sick world.
Yet, America has always had an ignorance & stupidity about rape when the woman is a minority, poor or not one of the rich & famous. You know the story of blame...
they must have done something to merit being raped.
Ironically, America become righteous bigots when a white woman is raped and a rapist is a person of color instead of treating all rapists the same regardless of color, political aspiration or the amount of money/power the rapist may have.
There's an ugly pattern with Trump and it began long before he became the U.S. President. Simply, it's not political...it's just now catching up to him for something he did involving rape prior to him raping Carroll...
KARMA.
