This is not about the quality of the case, its about the process. Is due process adhered to.
Appeal courts mostly look at the process. This is a very sloppy case in my opinion

Statements like this don't look good in the transcript
During Trump’s unprecedented testimony Monday, Engoron tried to cut him off from providing lengthy answers to state lawyers’ questioning, and even said, "I don’t want to hear everything he has to say."

And then after trying to have Trump lawyers get control of their client, the Judge relented and allowed Trump to ramble on for most of the court session to ensure that Trump would have no grounds for appeal.

This case could never get there (to the SCOYUS), because it does not involve any breach of Constitutional right. Would their legal team embarrass themselves by trying to appeal to that level citing some violation of Trumnp's Constitutional rights? The right to freely express how much he thinks his assets are worth?

Trump incites his followers to show up and lynch a judge and DA. Enough is enough... it is long overdue to lock Trump up for violating the gag order.
