New York City Entering Phase 4 In COVID Reopening

It is an interesting situation for infectious disease experts and epidemiologists to study.

Regions like NY, WA, MA, Italy, Spain that endured high infection rates early eventually recovered in a few months, can restart without too much trouble entering phase 4?

Places like CA, AZ, OR, Singapore... lockdown early and "flattened the curve", praised by the press as model states are now struggling to contain the virus after reopened.

And then there is Sweden they were criticized severely by many on ET.

Is there a lessons learned?

I am actually in the camp that supports our Governor, lockdown, practice social distancing and wear mask outside the home.

The states that are in trouble now are like that because the assholes who live there thought they were tougher than the virus and completely ignored all rules for social distancing, wearing masks, etc.
Pretty much the same thing is happening now in the summer vacation spots (Hampton’s, Jersey shore, etc) so expect a wave 2 coming in the metro NYC area.

Frankly, here in NYC, at least from what I can see, we are all wearing masks, and social distancing (except for a

I actually may have been mistaken. I think NYC is entering phase 4 as you posted (w/o indoor dining, etc). Anyway, we're doing fine here
