New York buyers pay $200,000 for car space...WTF people.

I was pricing park/lock monthly rates for my SUV. Prices ranged from $450 to $550.

$6k/year to rent. It's a ripoff.

Didn't Bernanke mention something about maintaining parking space values as one of the principal reasons for the 50 bp rate cut? Don't even toy with the notion of what might happen if those parking space prices went down! Those prices are good for everyone. It's for the greater good.

Yea, have to keep the value of the parking spaces up in nyc because if you dont its not NYC.

In Japan, you can't even register a car until you have documentation of a place to park it... and parking "spaces", last I saw, were $150K and up.

my friend paid $10k for an extra space when purchasing his condo....it is now selling for $20k....not a bad investment

Note NEARLY as good as my investment in YOU.

I've got 4600+ posts to choose from, and the selection didn't cost me a dime!

I live across in Jersey looking at the NYC skyline. I live in the same building as Liz Claman. Anyway, I pay $100.00 a month to park. I still do not understand the fascination of living in a crowded city were going a block can take an hour sometimes.

Sometimes people are just strange.

Life is relative. I am sure there are people laughing at your $100 fee.
