New Vix weekly options start trading today

They new VIX weekly options started trading today. The futures started trading last month. These are different from the old weeklies that were delisted.
 
Are they actually trading today? The earliest expiration in my IB option chain is Oct 20th, but I thought they were issued on Thursdays and expire on Wed?
Are they trading under a different symbol (like minis)? I didn't see that on the CBOE website, but I could have overlooked it.
 
Yep, trading today. Regular October monthly is the closest expiration, but Oct 28, Nov.4th are listed today.
