Aranha,
That is a major ripoff. You could easily build that yourself for much less money $1380 to be exact without even shopping for the lowest prices. I build all my pc's. Here is an idea using the same parts (all from newegg.com unless noted) but if you searched pricewatch you could get even lower prices. (I buy a lot of stuff from newegg but have no affiliation with them).
1.4 ghz amd cpu ($115 )
Gigabyte 7-DXR motherboard ($135 )
256 PC2100 DDR Ram ($42.00)
40GB ATA100 Hard Drive(IBM $107)
Teac 1.44 floppy ($10)
Leadtek Geforce 3 ($329)
Viewsonic GS790 19" monitor ($309 )
Creative lab 52x ($28)
Altec Lansing AVS500 speakers ($40 from mwave.com)
Case with powersupply Enlight Medium ATX Tower Case Model EN-72370X3 ($50)
Keyboard(microsoft $20)
Intellimouse ($37)
CPU Heatsink Cooler Master DP5-5G11A AMD Socket A Processor Fan with Heatsink Retail ($6)
US Robotic 56K V.90 Data Fax Voice Modem ($57)
win 98 ($95)
Total $1380 vs $3450
Just plug everything together and load 98 - two hours tops if your first time. Heck you can almost build three of these for their price.
